Board Committees


Community Engagement Committee

The CEC connects the Alberta Co-op’s board, staff, and owners with other neighboring organizations and community members. They often organize community events and are a great way to get more involved with the co-op!


Owner Linkage Committee

The OLC specifically works on ways to engage with our ownership — if you’re a member, you’re an owner! Get in touch if you’re passionate or even just curious about what this means.


Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for monitoring and making recommendations around the financial operations of the co-op. Meetings are typically held late in the month, and posted on the store calendar.

The next Finance Committee meeting will be held on Friday, January 24 at 5 PM in the store’s break-house; store staff can direct you to the meeting place. (agenda)


Management Linkage Committee

The MLC is primarily responsible for making sure the Board’s monitoring of store management goes smoothly.


Board Maintenance and Development Committee

BMAD, as we call it, is responsible for the way the Board organizes and manages itself.
